Saturday morning starts on Grace Avenue
Before the parade steps off at ten, the Saturday market has already been open an hour. The Battle Ground Farmers Market is the city's first indoor farmers market, located in the heart of historic downtown at 15 NE Grace Avenue, and it runs 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM every Saturday through the summer.
That "indoor" detail is not incidental. Clark County's outdoor markets scramble under a hot July sun or a surprise drizzle. Grace Avenue stays climate-controlled. If you plan to catch the parade at ten, arrive at the market at nine, buy produce and bread before the vendors get a wall of parade-goers, then walk two blocks over. This is the single most useful trick locals use during Harvest Days weekend.
A note on the market's cadence for the rest of the year: beginning July 11th, the Market transitions to a Saturday-only schedule for the remainder of the season. If you have been shopping on a weeknight, that window has closed for 2026.
Cruise night is the real parking test
The Harvest Nights Cruise runs 6:00 to 9:30 PM Friday, restricted to vehicles 1995 and older, along Main Street. If you live within walking distance of downtown, this is a windows-open, lawn-chair evening. If you are driving in, plan for a wide detour around Main by 5:30.

- Dinner reservations downtown for Friday night should be walk-in-friendly or booked well before six. Sit-down parties trying to arrive at 6:15 lose twenty minutes to circling.
- If you want to actually see the cars, park north or east of downtown and walk in. Southbound arrivals hit the closures first.
Where to eat when Main Street is full
Downtown restaurants and the food cart pod fill in overlapping waves: pre-parade breakfast, post-parade lunch, cruise-night dinner. The named spots to know:
- Tuke's Public House and Garden, the reworked Main Street mainstay, a family friendly hospitality experience specializing in artisan sourdough pizza. Best pre-parade, worst mid-afternoon Saturday.
- Barrel Mountain Brewing, consistently the local pick on regional roundups of the town's best restaurants alongside Everybody's Brewing at Northwood, La Uva Fortuna, Gen Sushi, The Cedars Public House, Detroit Pizza, The Pit, Golden Palace, Pita House, and El Rancho Viejo.
- La Uva Fortuna Farms, a winery-restaurant that sits off the main crush with patios and a firepit. Book ahead if you want it as a Friday cruise-night alternative.
- Battle Ground Station, a food cart pod in the heart of downtown Battle Ground with a diverse selection of food trucks in a family-friendly environment. This is your fallback when a sit-down wait crosses forty minutes.
The reason to know these by name and not by category is straightforward: on Harvest Days Saturday, "let's just find somewhere on Main" becomes a forty-five minute problem for a party of four. Named alternatives, with a walking plan between them, do not.
The 250th-year overlay
This year's summer has a wrinkle. The July 3rd celebration at Maddox Industrial Transformer, now in its 4th year, is a family-friendly evening that leads into a weekend of separate national programming. This year carries special weight as part of the nationwide celebration of America's 250th birthday, so the red, white, and blue comes out early and the crowd around any public gathering skews larger than in a normal summer.
For Harvest Days planning purposes, this matters in one specific way. Households that would ordinarily treat July 3 as a small backyard event are pulled into downtown twice in three weeks. If you host, expect houseguests to arrive across a wider window. If you list, expect showing traffic to compress around the two weekends and stretch in the quieter days between.
Planning around the choke points
The pieces most locals underestimate:
- Parade route parking. Cars parked on Main Saturday morning are towed. If you leave a vehicle overnight after cruise night, move it by seven.
- Fireworks exit. The high school lot empties along a small number of arterials. Walking home from within a mile is faster than driving out for the first twenty minutes.
- Sunday tapers. After Saturday's parade and fireworks, downtown resets by mid-morning Sunday. If you want the Harvest Days feeling without the crowd, Sunday brunch on Main is the softest version of the weekend.
- The market keeps going. The indoor farmers market runs rain or shine, every Saturday, 9 AM to 2 PM. The weekend of Harvest Days is not the last one of the season. Use it as your default Saturday anchor through September.
The small decision that changes the weekend
The households that get the most out of Harvest Days are the ones that treat the weekend as three distinct evenings and one long Saturday, not a blur. Friday belongs to Main Street and old cars. Saturday morning belongs to Grace Avenue and the parade. Saturday afternoon belongs to the high school. Sunday belongs to the quiet.
